Funny Girl Press!

Speaking of voices, the main star of this piece Fanny Brice, or to her friends here in town Chantelle Constable, surely pushes herself to the limit having to not only act but sing and dance as well. She clearly earns her respect for such a daunting role. She certainly captures the very soul and being of Fanny with her amusing antics and fantastic funny charms and will most surely sing and dance her way into your heart. When I asked the director what sets this Fanny apart from the Broadway version he said, “In this production they will be sticking very closely to the Broadway version however Chantelle isn’t Barbra Streisand and with that comes a sincerity of the character. The audience can really see her as being this character Fanny Brice and won’t be swayed by the fact that they are seeing a famous actor play a character. Chantelle even before auditioning for this role, was a fan of this musical and had committed every line and song to heart.” To say she was a natural for this part is an understatement.

Unspeakable heartfelt thanks to the grand and glorious Hype Weekly for such an excellent (pre)view! :D

She's the sort of girl who, in a previous generation, would have run away from home to join the circus...
