So apparently someone has a new guitar, and she serenades cats with it, and it matches her hair. This is a day for the history books…

Lithus gig at Sisters of Sound, July 30, 2011.
(Last two for now. I promise!)

The second picture was taken during out last song, a cover of Monty Python’s “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.” The drummer takes over the vocals and I play a little honky-tonk piano part! Fun stuff.

Inspired by a prompt: “Better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” Very very *rough* demo recording.

Watching you from a distance and
blushing every time I catch your eye
Walk by you on my way to the door
but can’t find my voice to even say goodbye
Is it worth the risk to make the first move
How far will I fall once I take that first step

Is it foolish to play it so safe
I’ll never know but at least I’ll never hurt
Where’s a sign from above when you need one
I can’t take the chance of being wrong about you

Did you mean it when you said
it was good to see me
And dare I ask would you
like to go out for coffee
Is it worth the risk to tell you how I feel
How much will it cost to give you my heart

Is it foolish to play it so safe
I’ll never know but at least I’ll never hurt
Where’s a sign from above when you need one
I can’t take the chance of being wrong about you

They think I’m crazy just sitting here and waiting
They might be right but it’s their heart that’s breaking

But is it worth the risk of losing you
How much will I regret that one path not taken

So I’ll be foolish, I won’t play it so safe
I want to know and so what if it hurts
Who needs a sign from above
I can’t take the chance of being wrong about us
